Question Fender Covers or not?

After starting the no shoes poll, I was wondering how many of you insist on fender covers. I do. I once thought they were unnecessary, until a rough night at a public dock left scratches from my uncovered fenders.
Now I carry 6 large, covered fenders so when I raft, only my fenders touch my boat. I sometimes hear a lot of whispering when I insist on this!

I don't raft up much at all... once this year i think.. my bare nekkid fenders are as clean as my boat

When rafting up you always have to worry about the other people messing up somethin of yours, espessically when they pull out there tires they call fenders

Covered definitely - they collect most of the dirt/grass and are machine washable ( the covers I mean )

YO ,
That $70 PLUS embroidery PLUS shipping

I can get a "premium towel" SET direct from Formula (bath , hand ,and wash cloth all embroidered) for $53
And nothin' they sell's cheap

I just use different color fenders to go a particular spot on the boat , since the lines are made to fit. Plus the white fender goes on the white , the teal on the teal , and the black on the black. So no matter how drunk your are , all you have to be able to do is distinguish colors

i prefer yo have naked fenders, and keep them clean.

Reason Being: i had someone tie up to me with covered fenders, and the color rubbed off on my white rub rail.
