Intercom Systems
Whos got the best intercom system for the money for my 25' Active Thunder?
One of my concerns is the amount of "wind in your face" the 25AT produces. There is no wind deflection at all. Im concerned about wind buffeting in the intercom and keeping the muffs on your head and not blowing off. I like the idea of the intercom but might not have the right boat for the set up. whacha all think? |
I would give Tiger Performance a call and talk to them about it. We used theirs for the race boat and it works real well and they were SUPER helpfull with all the installation and what not.

Racing communications... put a 4 person set up in a 33' scarab... headsets stay on your head, and you can listen to the radio while running! SWEET!

For your money, no one can touch the prices we give OSOers. Call around for price, then give me a call and I'll cut you a break (OSO Discount). We have a soloution to the wind problem, we have the same problem in the backseats of our 28 Vamp.

we have one from solder joint it works ok in a helmet dont know about head set you could call mark @ 800-345-7234

Do any of these vendors have websites? You've got me interested now.

Tiger Performance is WWW.TIGERPERFORMANCE.COM
If you run your cd or radio in the headsets, tiger has a stereo head set that velcrows on the top. They work good in the back of the Skater (plenty of wind at speed) and sound is much better than the mono head sets. |
Nitro ....thanks bud!

Check out this place:
http://www.fly-bluesky.com/intercoms.htm www.softcommheadsets.com I am installing one in my boat now. From what I can tell this is the exact same system that many of the other use for less money. However, there are a lot of wires to connect and run throughout the boat. Racing communications makes a wireing harness for $600. You can listen to the radio or cd, music is automatically muted when you speak. It can be hooked up to the VHF. 6 person stereo intercom was less than 300 bucks Steve |

steve,
I have talked and worked with several flight com. manufactures....they do very different things internally. not to mention very important things externally. if you have a windshield you maybe in luck?? even then your system will never work like it was designed to in a plane. there is a WIDE rage of stuff out there (both av and marine) and i have a TON of crap (some VERY expensive) sitting in boxes to show for it. |
Racing Communications Great stuff that continues to work even after the boat is upside down and full of water.

E-mail me if you want a Tiger intercome system.I have 2 spares I will let go cheap. Can only use one.
