webmaster is giving me a sample of different colors, yell when you like one

Didn't notice that but did notice the page buttons color is impossible to tell what page on. I just mouse over from start to end & see what page I am on.

Please keep it light, those dark backgrounds are hard on the eyes.

I didn't notice it .... the screen on my notebook is weird anyway ... maybe that's why I had that eyestrain headache yesterday ;)

OSO will never please everybody with color selections, that much is sure.

Hey, how about user defined background (bgcolor), foreground text (text) and visited hyperlink (vlink) colors defined by each user in their profile? They could then pass them as session variables to the php form (or cached CSS-like php include) that constructs the page.

It would only add three fields to the user authentication select statement and shouldn’t overtly affect performance but it just might heighten the user experience.

Some users will select color combinations that render the page unreadable. For that reason, this level of customization can at times be problematic for the user and can increase support incidences. So, they could just predefine a few preset color combinations in a dropdown on the profile page.

Choice #1:
Bgcolor= blue
Text=white
Vlink=red

Choice #2:
Bgcolor=white
Text=black
Vlink=blue

Choice #3:
Bgcolor=green
Text=yellow
Vlink=black

Choice #4:
Etc…

I know - blah, blah, blah...yadda, yadda, yadda.
