I believe Sutphen did a few years back. |
...straight V...Sutphen...no doubt!
...w/pad bottom...Velocity  |
All things considered equal no doubt 280 Velocity kicks ass -I owned a '27 Fountain 502/415hp & was spanked by my buddy's 280 Velocity (bad) -SOLD the Fountain a week later & bought a 280 Velocity droped in a /502/502 GM crate motor ran 80+ - hard to beat - great bang for the buck .... my .02

I would bet it would be sutphen.

My money is on the SUTPHEN , I am supposed to go drive a 90 MPH 34' this afternoon.
|
280 Velocity is the way to go , I have been looking for about a year can,t find anything faster for the power or size, resale is great on them , I don,t think you can get hurt

Boat for boat with the same power my vote is Velocity. This is based on my experience when my boat was stock and other friends boats. Also, I've spent some time in a 390 Velocity, including the 1000 Islands poker run, and that boat flew (82-84) with stock HP500 carb motors.

Stop boat, stock power, steps or no steps, the Velocity will be the winner.

Hands down. Sutphen is the fastest conventional V-bottom made today. Conventional meaning no steps and no pads.
