Question The Ultimate Powerboat, what would you want?

We are traveling to Stockholm, Sweden Thursday to discuss possible new projects. We are looking at 35, 38, and 42' vee designs and somewhere around a 36' cat. If you could have whatever you wanted in these boats, what would it be? Imagine you won a custom built boat and could ask for anything in the design. What would it be? In what order? What things would you be willing to sacrafice in exchange for others?

Obviously we build custom boats already, and our goal is to satisfy the customer. These larger projects will really be no different, so let us have it.

To cruise at 150mph and eat ice cream at the same time. Or that basic concept.

i would be looking at a 38 and up boat cabin is not extremely important but would want something there, not neccesarilly a full cabin but at least something to get out of the rain if caught in, house the stereo equipment and maybe a head. dont need refridgerator and dvd and tv's or stoves etc. cockpit space would be seating for 6 2 bolsters and a bench with a little room to move around for power something reliable in the drives, hp 500-700 with speeds in the 80-90 range, must be sleek not a raised deck or at least not much of one.

37' vee.
5 passengers plus driver in bolsters.
real windshield w/power wing vents.
bunks for 4 to sleep in.
vacu flush (in a stand-up compartment), microwave, fridge, icemaker, A/C, genset.
100mph with twin 575 or smaller stock power.

Kind of a lot like a 37 AT except with batboat-tech hull.

Talking A DDC Hull

Our ultimate boat is very close to the one we own. A 37 AT with the DDC hull designed by Harry Shoell. The boat is equipped with a full cabin including a head with shower, hot and cold water, A/C with heat, microwave, fridge, genset, Gaffrig monster gauges, Marine Machine steering & throttles, 600 watt stereo with subwoofer, electric bolsters, k-planes, mechanical tab and drive indicators, DVD player with flat screen TV, 500 EFI motors with 1.5 XR drives turning 32P Bravos running 82 mph on the limiters and the list goes on and on.

For efficiency combined with rough water capability no one can even come close to this bottom. It is very difficult to believe so before making a comment you should go for a ride. I've ridden in them all and none come close to the capability of this bottom. It is incredible.

I would change a few things. Add about 6-inches of headroom in the cabin and put in some 600-700 hp normally aspirated engines. Now that would be the ultimate Offshore

With this set up.....I don't have to sacrifice anything

Sorry I couldn't help myself.
35' V or 36' Cat would work in our area.I think there is a market for 30- 33 cat with cabin. Thanks

36 Cat, RELIABLE POWER AND DRIVES! 100 mph, and reasonably priced, not like todays boats. Cool topic.

How about a different hull with a modified center of gravity for turbines? Naturally, the hull would have to designed for a surface drive.
