Lightbulb "OT" DVD burning

I want to burn my boating .AVI files in my computer to a CD-R. I know I can burn them as .AVI and play it on another computer.
But Is there software out there that will allow me to burn a cd that can be played in a regular DVD player for the TV???
Thanks

Depending on your DVD player you can burn VCDs or SVCDs that will play they look okay at best. There ae lots of software that will convert avi to mpeg.

the program seems to work the best.... TMPG ENC is the name, look for it on Kazaa, if you get it, post up and I will explain how to convert the file.

You can convert the files to .mpg which is the Video CD (VCD) Standart in lass than a few hours depending on the pc used. You might think a few hours is pretty bad, but I just set it to go and then go to bed.

I have had excellent results doing this. Visit www.vcdhelp.com, they have instruction and links to everything you need.
