The foot rest works great, there is no way your going to get you feet stuck in there unless you have tiny tiny feet, The grab rails in the back work great and there are no sharp edges, Everyone that rides in the back loves the comfort feeling when your flying over the waves when they have something to hold on to

THe 38 ZR is at its very best flying over big waves,that was the idea behind the footrests and grabrails. Hang on and go for it. A rough water ride in a ZR has to be experienced. Any OSO'r that comes near Jasper,Al let me know,we'll take a ride. But you'll have to drive. As Too Old said, I'm too old. :)

I probably have more seat time in a ZR that anyone except Doug Valentine, and let me assure you the handle dont affect you, due to your low and secure position in the back seat. I always wonder why people comment on things they have never experienced.

Do you really think a company as large as Donzi would build a product that could harm a passenger? And yes the boat was tested for the two years it took to build the final product you see today.

No disrespect 38ZR but Catmando makes a good point. should someone be thrown forward from the rear seat they could catch their thigh on the part of the handle that protrudes into the seating area . Having said that I have never been in this boat would like to try one some day as they are truly a fantastic looking boat. But to assume it is without some flaws is probably not realistic. Just my $.02 Rick G.

One thing to consider is the aft grabrail and footrest package is an option, so anyone with reservations about it can just leave it off, plus save a few bucks in the process. I believe, though, that all pleasure versions built to date have had that option.You pays your money and you takes your choice:). Can't remember who said that,I think somebody famous?

Like I said I think it looks VERY cool. And your probably right that I don't know anything about boating saftey or what happens when an offshore boat crashes. I've only been around performance boats fo 20 years.

Guys-I think that we are getting off topic here. I'm looking for a foot rest for MY boat. I needed a pic to help show the fabricator what I was thinking of. I will take your advice and make the spacing tighter. But in all honesty, I really have no plans on spinning my boat out. I'm just looking for a foot rest to help keep my ass in the seat! Now if anybody has some more advice that would apply to my application, then I'm all ears!

Hey Robert, if you still have the ZR when the weather warms, I'll drive to Jasper just to take you up on that ride. My girlfreind would kill to ride in one. She has been eat up with them since we saw the one at the Sarasota PRA back in April.
