Floral City / Brookesville Florida area info?

Anyone live in this area. I have found some nice land at reasonable prices. Looks rural. If anyone is familiar with the area let me know. Hope to be moving by this fall.

It's a nice area with some hills (for Florida). It is a little less than an hour north of Tampa. If it's a good deal, I don't think you can lose.

My inlaws live in Floral City and yes it is rural. Not a bad area if you don't mind driving 1/2 hour to get to anything. It's horse country with many necks of red!

Sounds good. My wife runs a horse business. We need land but also need to be near people with $ to spend on their little girls riding lessons :)

If you decide not to take it, let me know. I'd be interested in it.

I live near there. It is real nice. My parents used to have land on Duval Island, right on the lake. I have a good friend who lives right in Floral City. The area is rich in heritage and very nice. I don't know what the horse market is for Citrus and Hernando County. So, it woud be hard for me to judge in that area. There are some mini farms in Citrus and Hernando (some within minutes of Floral City). I have been in this area most of my life and would be glad to help you out with any info needed.

Natural resources are great here also. I believe approx 50% of the land is state owned and cannot be developed. Over 200 sq miles of lakes. 4 major rivers and countless creeks. and plenty of access to the gulf. I lie this area best for the close proximity to many major metro areas yet, it is rural and nice.

My friends wife works in Tampa and I believe it is approx 45 min drive.

Let me know if I can help.
