It seems that you get a lot for your money. There are a bunch of used ones around LOTO that seem to be priced right.

puder 01-26-2003 01:19 PM

well biult you get alot for the money. They are like the superboats (the biulder not racing class) of cats. Reasonably priced and well biult. Both have been reffered to as the mustangs of fast boats. put up good numbers and won't break that bank.

I believe the 3100 is based on the chris cat hull/design. I know teh 3800 is anew origonal design.

Went for my 1st cat ride ever in a friends 31 AO this summer. Amazing how stable cats are, even running in the 90's. All I can say is WOW!
Catgirl, you out there? And going to be at Loiusville show this next weekend? The gang from Monroe will be.

design comes from the 30 ft Chris cat, it is a little heavier setup than most cats but with good power, 502 with prochargers on 5 lbs boost wil let you run over 100, in 3's and 4's all day.

Hi Tom, I know a guy that has a 3100 for sale. I has big power and I believe it is a 2001 or 2002. He will sale with or without power. He had it advertised in Powerboat a couple of months ago. It is a nice boat. PM me and I will give you his name and number.

That is probably for the older, heavier layup. I'm told a newer 3100 with a lighter layup and HP500's and B1 drives will hit 100.

I have two buddies with AO's. They love them, one is a 2600, one a 3100. Both sweet boats, especially the 3100. If I ever bought a cat, 3100 would be the one.

I have a 1998 AO 2600. Powered by a Procharged 454 EFI. I love it.

Last I had heard, they were still around. Some people are going to get burned, but they'll make it

OBNOXUS21 01-31-2003 08:30 PM

My first and only ride in a cat was a 3100. Been in love with them ever since. For value and looks it would have to be the 3100!
