So I guess the Theater Master is the one to go with. I am thinking about the SL 8000. Are there any local stores that carry them or will I have to order it? I am just thinking that with my luck lately, it would be easier returning it to a store than mailing it off. Thanks.

A guy at work was just telling me about a Magnavox from BestBuy for $20 that works great. He had to prgram each button separatly for his Motorola Digi Cable box but it controls everything he has perfectly.

Just liked the hard button layout of the HTM better
Maybe because HTM is also a fast boat

I just bought a new remote that seems to do the job wonderfully for $20 @ RadioShaft..ck..........

Controls 5 things, tons of built in codes, lights up very brightly, and if you want, learns from other obscure remotes. This was handy for me because i have a pretty rare carver pre amp, and its never on the code list for a remote. I just made the new remote learn the commands, and the old remote goes on the shelf for good. I even set some of the unused buttons to control my air conditoner by learning from the a/c remote. pretty cool (no pun intended)

heres the one i got. RS Remote

For $20, its worth a try......good luck

I am an authorized dealer for Kenwood Sovereign. Email me the model of your receiver to verify compatibilty. The two-way touch panel remote is around $400.

I bought a RS remote that I think is a notch above the one you have. It works great, but it doesn't have enough memory. I can't program enough buttons to make it worth it.

Andy, do you have a price on a Harmony? Thanks.

Has anyone tried the Home Theater Master SL 9000? I found a decent price on one. It seems to be a good remote, but I would have to order it through Etronics.com. I really don't want to go through the hassle of returning a remote through the mail. Has anyone dealt with etronics.com before?

Andy,
Did you get my P.M.?
I am wondering what you think of the ergonomics of the Kenwood remote?
