125 mph????
I could be totally wrong, but this thing looks heavy! I would think 125 is being very optimistic.

It looks like a cat... I didnt know chris craft made cats?
|
The fastest one I know of was "Ballistic" Had around 750 hp each and ran 119. This was the fastest boat around a few years back . This boat was set up right too ! I know of a few others with bigger power that didn't break 115.

ChrisK,
Yeah they did...called the chris cat. Boot, That is what I figured! Aqua :frog: |
I was told that American Offshore owns the Chris-Cat molds and used them for the 3100.
I remember way back when, bery early 90s, Bob & Jay Muller raced a Chris-Cat "Tropic Heat". |
Yup...Chris Craft made a cat and t2X will give the blow by blow, although this one's been covered pretty extensively a month or so ago...
THat boat is based on the Shadow cat designd by George Linder....and yes, with that power, I believe it is certainly capable of 125... just my thoughts... |
Chris Cat?
The hull looks like the Chris Cat, but the cockpit seating is all wrong. Drivers position was in the middle.
The Chris Cats were produced from 84-88 or so, and they had center seating. The cabin door is in the wrong place, should be on the side. And they missed the proper vintage by about 10 years. I suspect it is a Chris Cat hull with a home built cockpit liner. This is an old design hull (by G. Linder) that is known for porpoising in the mid range 60-75 mph. With the right horsepower you could do 125mph. But it would probably take 1200 hp a side Newer designs like Skater, Eliminator,Motion and Spectre don't have this problem. Bottom line don't waste your money, there are better cats out there. Wannabe |
