So does that mean if he uses a block every 4" he is going to wind up with 10 steps in his cat???? Or do we have to get a bunch of 4"x4" and a couple gallons of morgan and make a rack???

I was in the boat lift business for over 10 years. Best bet is to call the manufacturer and they will send you the specs that they normally send to trailer manufacturers. Short of that the best advice has already been given, make sure you support the transom or the boat will develop a hook. Reggie told me about 13 years ago "I hate you guys, after a customer stores a boat on a lift they call me the following year complaining that the boat has lost speed." Ever since then I always called the manufacturer.

If you got the $$$ go for the Myco setup.

When I was modifing our lift for our boat, (280 Velocity) I called the Velocity plant and they told me EXACTLY where to place the FULL LENGHT bunks and what degree to cut them. It works like a champ! I also put an extra 3 feet of bunk on the transom end of our lift, to accomidate our next boat!!
Hope this helps,
MD

MYCO builds a nice cradle to store boats on. I have one under the 41 on a HydroHoist lift and it works great. Are you setting the boat outside in the marina yard or in a building on a rack? I would ask the marina if you could put the cradle in your rack if you are putiing the boat inside.

A good custom trailer Co. will build you the best rack possible or maybee they will sell or give you the specs to have one built locally. Manning built my trailer so the forks would fit between bunks for easy on/off.
