Question Lake Texoma

Hi All,

Looking for some Lake Texoma advice…. We are in the process of planning a trip to Lake Texoma around July 4th week. We haven’t been there before so I’m looking for any suggestions. I don’ t know if it’s anything like LOTO (than again what is), but we have always had fun at Mom-and-Pop places when we go to LOTO. We are looking for something on the water where we can slip the boat, with basic amenities and would be fun for the Kids + friends (13-17years old) and fun for the adults of course. Any suggestions or other comments about the lake would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Powerboatin………
Can’t wait for Summer…………

The nicest place to stay is Tanglewood Resort. It has a nice hotel as well as condos. It tends to fill up fast, so call soon. Tanglewood Resort is just up the hill from Highport Marina (formally known as Loes Highport). It is the premier marina on the lake for performance boats. At one time Highport Marina had short-term slip rentals, but you will have to call and ask.

Another place is Cedar Mills Resort and Marina. It is not as nice as Tanglewood Resort, but it is also cheaper. I believe that they would allow you to rent a slip for the weekend of you are staying there.

Good luck!

Thanks Clay,

Tanglewood looks like a nice place. Do you know how far off the water is it compared to Cedar Mills' cabins?

Thanks again

Tanglewood is about a one-half mile walk/drive to Highport.

Cedar Mills is about 300 yards from the cabins (old mobile homes) to the water.
