Looks? Not really. Even though it looks less odd on a long hull, I prefer the archless look on a go-fast.

Usefulness? Absolutely. Can run a bimini to it with a place to store it. Can attach canvas to the rear also. Lights, speakers, GPS receivers, antennas, and of course, radar. Up real high on the usefulness chart. You also got a good paint scheme for it.

I like em on cruisers, and Formula SS'es.

I say NO if you do not plan on putting navigation aids on it. However IF you are going to use them then I would say get it. On that boat it is SO large that it works well either way but my preference is to not have it.
