I'm on the no-call lists and still get them occasionally. I enjoy talking very softly so they are listening very intently then I blast them with one of those mini airhorns...

I recorded the tone of a" number no longer in service" on a recorder. When I get a call that says "unknown" on my caller Id, I play the tone. I heard it works as well as the zapper. I don't know for sure, they seem to come in waves, a bunch for a while, and then very few. I haven't had many since I made my own "zapper".
