Default O/T Truck pipes

I have an '02 F150 FX4 and I'm thinking of putting on some flowmasters or something like that. Personally I have a big Mustang background and recently got into this truck...thats why I say Flowmasters. I plan to have them coming out the sides....sort of where the stock pipe is now. I like some glasspacks but I don't want anything really really obnoxious if you know what I mean. Any ideas?

Ahhh the sound of a 5.0 thru 3" Flowmasters !!! I sure do miss it !

You might want to check some of the Diesel websites. I know on the TDR (Cummins) site they have links to places that have full 4" pipe with straight thru mufflers for real reasonable prices $250-$500 depending on what you want.

26scarab,
No offense, but I doubt he has a diesel in a f150 Although it would make a pretty sweet ride...call boot, spend life savings, burn the rubber clean off

HAHA, well I almost went for the 250 but the 150 FX4 looked sweet to me so I got it. I think flowmasters sound the best to me....I'm scared that if I get glasspacks its gonna sound like a pulp wood truck in a few years.

I had a 97 F-150 with a 4.6 v-8.I put the Gibson Supertruck cat-back kit on it.That sounded pretty good,deep and throaty sounding.I also had a F-250 with a 5.4 v-8 with a Borla cat-back system.That was much quieter than the Gibson.Between the two,I preferred the sound of the Gibson.

I have flow masters on my tow vehicle. They sound sweet. No mistaking the sound of flow masters...... glass packs sound like someone farting, especially when decelerating.... just my 02.

I have true duals in all SS on my 2500 Avalanche. No warranty problems. I went with Flowmaster 50s, and I still think they may be a bit too loud. Damn near as loud as my boat at 4500 rpm.
