Skater is going to build the 50' Airborne cat?
 

Anyone know the scoop on this? I read this in Powerboat and I find it interesting that Skater would take someone elses boat design and go to market with it. Or did they design it for Airborne Marine originally? Anyone have any insight on this?

Something tells me they bought the molds and have done some re-engineering.

thought I read that they will sell it as a luxo-cat....full amenities....

Randy Linbach who Owns and drives the AirBorn Skater supercat did the tooling on these, it was probably derived from the 46 Skater that he used to own, AfterShock. I know he only built a few boats himself,which were very nice pieces. I would assume he and Pete at Skater have some sort of arraingement on this. Skater has built boats for other people for several years now.
