OT--Valentines day proposals
 

Just wondering what the consensus is on marriage proposals on Valentines Day.

Its Going To Cost You Half Of Everything You Own.................... Don't Do It....

I've already popped the question last month, so I guess I can start paying now right!!!!:D :D

I was just curious because a co-worker was considering it and we all said pick another day.

Pick a different day and be different! Unless this guy has some realy bad memory i would do a day that would be special to the both of them not just another holiday/aniversary where you can kill two birds with one present! :)

I gotta agree with Wally - nothing worse than a guy making a proposal on a holiday. Christmas, New Years Eve, V-Day, birthdays....just doesn't bespeak of originality.

I have gotten divorced on Valentines day. That was interesting.

Yes I did and after court I went out a bought a boat.

I disagree with the originality issue....there are only 365 1/4 days per year so you will NEVER be original. I think V-Day is as good a day as any other day and it IS the "romantic" holiday. The way you propose can definitely be the original part. Just my $.02!;)

I just have one thing to say
 

I did it on Valentines Day 9 years ago. Now it makes Valentines Day a special event. Otherwise it would have just been another pain in the ass commercialized event. I highly recomend proposing on valentines day. Perfect.

I filled the paper with the court house for divorce this valentines day :( and went to freind wedding the same night.
