Default Need a wholesale price for a 1998 Yukon

1998 Yukon SLE
cloth interior, 4 wheel drive, 69000 miles, very clean, dual a/c, cd/tape,fm/am stock stero, buckets in front (power driver side), luggage rack, Auto trans, color RED, power everything, child locks, tinted glass.

The bank says the pay-off is 20,900 but they will sell it to me
20,900 (-) 2500. that price is still way to high. I saw a few from 11-12 thousand, same as mine. Any help would be great.

I want to present a price to the bank (bank of america) and see what they will do.

Please help me decide

Rick

Try going to www.kbb.com or www.edmunds.com to get a trade-in value for your car....Trade in value seems to be fairly close to what you could sell the car for on the open market.. I haven't shopped for Yukons, but $20k sounds a little high to me...

Mines a 4 door.
I heard the banks use a wholesale book ( wholesale kelly BB) to find the trade in. You have to price out every option.
edmunds will just give a ball park.
I want to referance the same book they(bank) use when i submit my offer
A lot of time they (bank) have a hard time getting wholesale prices due to the fact that the market out here is so flooded with SUV's

Default Kelly is on line

I went to kelly, mine was 10 something trade in value, 12 something retail. You can get both numbers from them.
Just type in kelly blue book. good luck John

Is this what the banks use to find the price?
If I tell them that kelly blue book on line gave me this price will they say thats not what we use? our price is,(whatever!)
IS trade-in HIGHER or LOWER than wholesale?
Any wholesalers out there to help?

Thanks,
Rick

Default scarabrick

I have a NADA dealers book and what it tells me is this:

$12,800.00 Loan Value

$14,150.00 Trade-in Value

$16,650.00 Retail Value

The only add-ons in this book were: SLT Trim-$500
Alum Wheels-$150
CD Player-$75
Leather-$300
Rear Air-$225

I added on for rear air, CD, and Alum wheels.

I hope that this helps you.
