I do not know anymore than what the ad says at this time. Need REAL estimates as to what the boat is really worth.

Thanks for your help OSO.

Looks nice, on a custom boat, it really comes down to, what is it worth to you. Sorry I do not have any more info.

I understand

I understand fully. I just happen to know that I might be able to get a good deal on this boat. However, I know that Super Hawaii's are not a house hold name brand; niether is Sutphen. So I just thought I would throw it out for discussion to the very knowledgable board of OSO.

Do a search on Super Hawaii. There was a thread on them a few months back that had some fairly detailed info.

BTW-How's the Sutphen, bet you can't wait 'til some warmer weather.

Payton just bought a super Hawaii. He seems to be pretty knowlegable about them.

Sutphen??

Yes, I've heard of Sutphen. Does anyone have a web address for them??

Is it the same one advertised on Boattrader? There asking $75K there.

Super Hawaii, 40'. I recognize it from LOTO. The company is now out of business. There are quite a few of them around the Ozarks because of a dealership that used to carry a lot of them there. The 40 has a nice layout with plenty of room. Well built hull, relatively heavy, but not too fast. Had a friend with a staggered 32, and I think that 40 belonged to another friend of mine years ago. Pretty sure it's always been in fresh water.
The only downside is that it is not a well known name. Loan and insurance may be more difficult if it's not listed in the NADA book. These can hurt resale or help you get a good deal! I'm sure you're aware of the "flexibilty" of brokerage boat prices at the lake. The only other issue would be the engines. I doubt they're original. It would be nice to see who built them. The other issue would be a heavy boat with 500 hp is not easy on bravos.
My $0.02
Gary
