How hard is it to....

Switch transmissions in a 1991 Eagle Talon? Should I try it or just take it somewhere that knows what their doing?

This is a transaxle.
requires" knowing what your doing"

I'm not real familiar with the Talons. I assume that it's not the awd version. Most front drivers have gone to a subframe. This usually results in the engine and trans being taken out from below. Some that is really easy for a shop to do. They just put the car on a hoist, disconnect the cradle and everything else and raise the car up. The driveway job will require enough room to be able to get the trans out with out removing the cradle.

Tommy, its not to bad. frt wheel drive is easy, AWD is a pain in the but but still o.k. Don't try AWD without a lift and a trans jack.
