Mirrorplex

Has anybody had mirrorplex cut for their engine hatch/es, how hard was it, who did it, and how is it holding up? Thinking about dressing up the 388 but it does not have a perfectly flat surface but does screws for the hatch pad already there. Thought about using them with 1/8 in. mirrorplex that should have some flex to it.
Thanks

I used it for accents in my interior(strip down the top and front of cabin) After cracking one piece I will advice not to try cutting it in 20 degree weather, it gets real brittle.I ended up cutting it with my mothers mat cutter that she uses for her art framing. Worked well. only thing I suggest is if the surface its mounted on isn't flat try to shim it or premount it on a flat board cause if it is even a little bent it distorts the reflection alot and your engine compartment will look like a funhouse.

Leave the paper on it and cut it with a fine-tooth saw (circular or otherwise). Let it cool before you remove the heat burr.

If you don't have a flat surface, then get 1/4" plex and use plastic washers stacked up between the plex and the hatch around each screw to allow it to "look" flat.
