Sydwayz, you are correct on Aprilia. A certain "big yellow cat" owner from GA and I were on a 150cc (I believe that was the size) drunk, and leaving Rum Runners Upstairs. And it held my fat ass and rolls fast with ME!

Aprilia also makes a 50cc 2-stroke that looks like a crotch rocket and does about 55mph and requires NO motorcycle license beacuse of the size of the engine. Aprilia is the KING. Awesome to ride.

Good-Luck Brian:)

In Tennessee, anything with a motor on it requires at least a "motor-driven cycle" license. Not really sure how GoPeds figure in, but my "guess" is that they are legally limited to parking lots in TN. A 50cc (or 35cc) motorcycle would still need a plate and a stamped operator's license. The little Aprilia is a cool piece, but you'd still get a ticket around here without a stamped (with a MDC or Motorcycle stamp) license. Real sticklers, these TN police.

I got a ticket on my birthday one year because I pulled down my goggles at a 4-way stop cause they were dirty and rode to a parking lot 100 yards away to stop and clean them. Cop ticketed me for no eye protection and told me that I should have wiped them and kept them on until I turned off the motor...

mcollinstn, I was under the assumption that you had to have a license, but not a motorcycle license to operate a cycle under 150cc. That is the way it is in FL and IL. I assumed it was the same all over.

I got pulled over three times.... Cops just ask if it is street legal... and it is in Ohio, So they just say, nice toy, be safe.

Tommy, thanks for the pics. Since I already broke my hand BAD on a Go-Ped a few years back, lemme mull this over with my thinking half before I go any farther.
Thanks!

I forgot to say.... Here a motorized vehicle is 23cc and up. Go-ped is 22.5 with stock bore and stroke. Can be bored and stroked to around 26cc....

Sydwayz.....LOL, dont hit that front brake really hard!

I didn't. I was carving a long sweeping turn in a parking lot while out racing jet skiis. I was leaning way over to my back side; was nearly scraping the ground as I was drifting a bit. The rear tire hit a rock; and sent me a$s over appetite. I broke my thumb clean into the palm of my hand; as well as some 30 mph road rash. It was 4th of July weekend, and I actually waited until 5am the next day to go to the ER to get it set. I hate waiting for hours in the ER. Got a fiberglass cast, and was back racing the next weekend.

Electric Scooters

Check this out: http://www.pot.com/html/scooter/html

These scooters are great and I rode mine all over key west this past week. It will carry my 220 pounds very well. Everyone that saw us asked about them. They are compact and we took 5 of them to key west in the back of a pickup with all our luggage.
