I've been meaning to post this for a while, this thread provoked it. I didn't know we were in such crowded company. Unless half of our team has submitted a vote.

This number didn't come easily. Theres a steep learning curve and it's taken a great deal of dedication and hard work by a resilient group of people to get there not to mention a very dedicated benefactor. We're not done yet either, it's just gains come in much smaller percentages at this point.
Top speeds one thing but wouldn't it be great to see what this boat could do on the offshore circuit... |
It's the Callan T-48
Not mine but I'm a bit partial to it. Twin T55 L-7 engines - 2,500 hp each. BPM Surface Drives jc |
Go to www.callanmarine.com.
It'll take me another 1/2 hour to size a photo down small enough to fit on the board. jc |
Marine performance. I think I am going to need a verification test ride. I am thinking that GPS was taken in some kind of mig fighter jet;) ;) WOW

When the boats "right" it's surprisingly calm. We have cockpit video at over 200 mph that looks like we're sitting at the dock. Propellers and lcg affect the boat pretty dramatically. We're going to attempt the propeller driven speed record with it again this summer. We were weathered out twice in December.
I don't know if you want the fuel bill, over 400 gph at wot. jc |
During our last high speed test session, (We've been testing OFFSHORE for the last few weeks) we had three back to back runs over 200 mph for over 2 miles at that speed.

Less than 18 seconds per mile
What does the hydro handle like? Are you steering or just holding on? jc |
