H2 Hummer tow rating is 7k. Sydwayz, you are right on the M32 trans.

Don't have a problem with 'em , other than I can't afford it!!! My 11 year old wants one she can't decide between the Black or the Yellow. With straight A's in school for the last 2 years she can buy her own when she gets a job!!!!!

Sonicdriver,

Price the H2 against the Denali, which more closely matches it in features...

Maximus, you fuel *****.

Default what's wrong

My point excatly MColistn your right! and Whats wrong with a Yukon, Denali,Escalade,or similar type vehicle. They are cool trucks in my mind. People make the comparison like it's a bad thing??? It's priced the same. same features

Sonic....do you really believe it costs 110,000 dollars to build an H1. They charge the public that much to justify the outragous price they sell to the Govt. It's called adding in the FAT! Half the price more comfortable sounds like value to me. There you go , now you have me talking about Value, This thread is starting to mess with my ego and self image.

Wth regards to fuel!!! You ever go boating with those guys that are always complaining about fuel. 'let's slow down I'm burning too much fuel', ' I don't know if we should go that far" , "were just going to hang out around here" , "do they make that model with smaller engines? ' 'I really don't need to go faster than 60mph' ahahahahhhaaaaaaaa......fuel pussies

Default Jealous?

Am I jealous? Hell yes.
I will gladly swap you my '00 GM crew dually for your H2. I think it's a great vehicle, and would love to have it. I do think I would have to find a way to blow a little more smoke in the motor though.

FYI, Some rich kid in a black H2 decied to race me.. He had a very clear view of my 2 5/16" the entire way to the next light.
I do think I may have burned a bit more 87 octane than he did...

It's amazing that the H2 will handle your 36' packer.. That's fantastic. I have read, almost everywhere, that "GM powertrains are top notch".
I would take a gas GM/Auto over a Ford or Mopar version any day.

Oh yeah.. It's not a "real" Hummer..

Default Addendum

You guys are killing me!!!.

Tim....Pulls the 36 with absolutly no problem, in fact as stable and as powerful as the shop truck f350dually w/chip. Everytime i get into it I feel like a kid , seriously, It's not a precision made european sedan but it has a certain "something special'

About the powertrain.; i do notice when shifting into drive or reverse a "mechanical ' hit. I dont know if it is the heavyduty tranny or gearbox or an issue. They packed everything up with grease and it went away....4 weeks later its back. Not enough for me to dislike the truck though.

Says hummer on it!!!!

Now , how about that new Mercedes SL55. WOW!!!!!! I want one!!!

Maximus; look at the driveshaft while going from reverse to drive with the brakes on, the newer GM posy's will let the driveshaft spin about 30 degrees before locking up with the gears. Had in my silverado from the time it was 4 months old ---drives me nuts. I went to the dealer, he said they all do that now! My '67 didn't and it's still going strong, I'm in the middle of replaces my tranny on my silverado as we speak---don't make them like they used to!
