I'm with you that gun rocks!!!I've always wanted one, a buddy shoots one in competition...looks and feels like a larger caliber but the recoil of a pop gun...way cheap to shoot too!

I've also got the Ruger bull barrel. Inexpensive to buy and shoot.

If it's just for target shooting I would go with the Ruger Competition Series Mk II. Slab sided bull barrel, built in scope mount, thumb rest grips. Awsome pistol.

I am thinking about getting the new Beretta U22 Neo.
I have read reviews that they are loud.
Check it out http://www.berettausa.com/guns/pistols/u22_neos/

S&W 41 is the SH*T.
If you can find an old (since there are no new) High Standard,
just about any model, would be the only other auto that might top the 41. Mine is a High Standard Olympic.

Just Unckle Ernie's $0.02

I haven't shot bullseye cometition in about (5) years so I am not sure what people are now using but you couldn't pay me to shoot a S & W 41. Too complicated and way to many jams! I used to use a Ruger Gov Model .22. Get a good gunsmith to clean up the trgger pull and and add a trigger stop and your ready for competition.
