I think Buzzi did win that in the Techno 40. 40 ft. RIB with twin 720 Seateks. Same boat Mark Nemschoff did the Tampa to Miami and Chicago to Detroit records in.

That is incorrect.................. The INXS Fountain did not exist until four years later. The entrants were George Morales, Sandy Satullo, Al Copeland, Ben Kramer, and Tom Gentry. Only Morales and Copeland finished..................... and nobody else made it out of Florida's waters. Kramer never started, even though he had the highest budget.......

We covered it on NNRT.

This is also incorrect.............Buzzi was not in the race..... he made a later single boat record attempt.

It's also incorrect that Copeland ran a 50', it was a 46' Cougar, just for the record.

Buzzi did it when Boating Magazine was involved. There was more than one boat, Cigarette and a few others ran also.
