Looking like the America's cup is going to a new home

Man Team New Zealand can not catch a break. They were out gunned in this one. Looks like the cup (barring a HUGE break down) will be going to the land locked country of SUI!!!!

Ah,the America's Cup.Will Coutts and his crew become Swiss citizens? Doubt they are welcome back home. :):)

Team NZ relied too heavily on technology and paid the price in failures. I think they knew that unless they had a faster boat than Coutts they didn't have a chance and decided to take extraordinary engineering risk to get an advantage. Alinghi was basically the same design used by TNZ last time with extensive optimizations. Alinghi was tuning the small dials while TNZ was turning the large ones.

Technology aside, TNZ's tactics were not aggressive enough when they were behind. There should have been more tacting duels. Alinghi's starts and ability to sail higher and closer to the wind resulted in 5 consecutive wins...the island nation of NZ has lost its identity...for now...

Yeah,NZ beat NZ, or something like that, big snore here:),I used to follow it years ago and enjoyed Dennis and some of the others whip a** on guts and strategy. Now it's just how much money you can spend and who you can afford to hire. Don't think anyone much cares anymore, kind of a shame I guess.
