BOUGHT, another happy boater

Well, after driving 1800 miles FRi morning to Sat night, Indianapolis> Texas/OK>LOTO>home, I'm proud to say I am no longer boatless. (Roughess 3 weeks ever!) ;)

Boat is a '99 32' Fever in near mint condition. Has twin 502 EFI's. Decided against the HP500's for the reason of longitivity, reliabilty and turn key operation, plus less $$$
:)

The help from OSO members:

Trent, aka dallasboats, (same member that set Catmando up) also hooked me up with a deal of a lifetime. Can't say enough about the work that Trent did to get this rolling and answering tons of questions. He even made a couple hr round trip to take a lot of pictures I wanted. Trent, THANKS!

And also working with a hydro lift manufactor from LOTO area that yet another OSO member, Helmworst, has hooked me up with.

Damn, this is going to be an expensive month! :( But in 4 weeks when I can bring it home, will be all worth it. Can you say long 4 weeks. :D

US1 Fountain 03-03-2003 06:09 PM

Thanks guys! I'm still pumped.

Think I will plumb in a tee in the water inlet lines, hook up a remote controlled pump, then hide and wait for unsuspecting onlookers. Turn the pump on and let the water run!!!!!! :D :D

Boat Lift Marine Center. (573)348-4999. Very friendly folks. They came back and met me late Sat nite after hrs. to show me thier lift and tour of the shop.

Built better than the other name brands, and much cheaper. Highly recommend them.

Beautiful choice US1! Looks like brand new. You ever had twins before? If not, what a treat that will be! Nothing better than spinning on a dime in a tight marina. Try doing that with a single and still looking cool.

So, whadya think... whipples? ;)

Great looking boat...

I have the same colors on my 27, black, yellow, purple.
Looks hot. That boat looks as clean as my 02.
Have fun, John.

There is a secret to manuevering a sterndrive boat with twins. People going from singles to twins really struggle with it. Anyone care to guess what I am thinking?

My cocky buddy got twins (engines that is) for the first time last year and I laughed my ass off at him for a weekend or two until I told him this trick. :D Now he's an old pro in the marina.

US1 Fountain 03-04-2003 04:13 PM

Thanks all!

BT,
I'm thinking.........steering by shifters with drives straight ahead?

blue thunder 03-04-2003 04:18 PM

DIng Ding Ding, we have a winner!! :eureka: :eureka: ...Wow, I am impressed US1. Got it on the first guess. Hard habit to break using the steering to help manuever.

Good Luck bro,

BT

boatfreak 03-04-2003 09:15 PM

Congrats! Nice looking boat. I'll see you soon on Monroe I hope.

You'll still be turning the wheel but not as much as with a single. The props are spinning in and you don't get the same leverage as a boat spinning the props out. You will still love the twins!

Congrats...beautiful boat and just in time for Candyman's Fountain run....

"My run" needs to be an "Our run" as in OSO, COPS or any other group that wants to join in on the fun. The Racine run turned out great last year because everyone contributed ideas and helped make it a blast! I'm going to start planning it soon. It's going to be a great year on Lake Michigan with all the events.
