I have a 42 but have two buddy's have the 26 prowler. They love them, they are a little slower the some of the other boats that size out there, but you can't beat the room in the cabin. I think it's the only 26 out there with a enclosed head. It's also a real nice ride, for 50k and under used you can't beat it.

Do you by chance know how they ride in rough water?

I know 2 people that have them and they are both very happy. Ive got a 25 Active Thunder and am partial to mine but what did you expect.
Becuase your question was about the Sonic I wont turn it into a debate but will say, the 26 Prowler is a very nice boat.
Handles well, nice amenities, great lines and I dont mind giving up a little speed for rough water handling although I dont think your even giving much up.

I am extremely happy with mine. It is a 99 with the HP500EFI. It runs very strong, and I have had no significant problems with it. It takes the rough very well. I can run WFO in 3-4 footers, which is not common for that size boat. The only time I went back on the trailer was in consistant 5-6 footers. I was able to stay out for a while, and the boat was fine; however my passengers had had enough. Check out the Sonic forum for past info on the 26. There are several threads. Also see the 'Show me the Boat" thread. You will see a few of mine, including airborne.
