If you notice, those all have the same symbol. And after each guess, the signs all change, but the factors of 9 all still have the same sign, just a different one for each try.

That is FUBAR and not US1 has ruined it for me :D:D

That ain't nothing.

3 guys split a $30 room for the nite (no comment)& pay $10 each.

Later clerk realizes it was supposed to be only $25 for the room.
Clerk gives bellhop $5 to refund to 3 guys. $30-$5= $25

Bellhop can't decide how to split $5 evenly amonst the 3 guys , so he SAYS room is $27, he refunds $1 to each guy (3x$1=$3) and pockets remaining $2 for himself out of the original $5.

Final tally
3 guys now each paid $9 ($10-$1) for total of $27
Bellhop has his pocketed $2

$27+$2=$29..........wheres the lost $1? :)

Better make this an OT topic before chit hits the fan. ;)

The three guys have paid $25 for the room plus $2 in the bellhops pocket = $27 (3 x$9)

Correct me if I am wrong:

$25 the room price
$5 To be refunded
$1 * 3 = $3 to give back to three men total

$3 + $25 = $28

$5 - $3 = $2 to remain for the bellhop
or
$30 - $28 = $2 to remain for the bellhop.

The room was $27 ($25 + $2 tip) plus the $3 he refunded...

$27 + $3 = $30.

It took both my brain cells to figure that one out...

Thats almost like the age old Question: If theres 12 months in a year and each month has 4 wk's = 48 wk's OR 365 days divided by 7 days per wk = 52 wk's per year, Which leads me to the question; What month did I pass out for 4 wks in an abiss of blank, dark, faceliss fat women?

but theres only 2 beds in one room.
