Can we afford it?
Are gas prices going to soar so much this summer that we won't even want to get out and actually drive our boats? What do you guys thing prices will top out at?
|
I'm looking at buying a new boat with twins and I am just flat out getting scared of what the gas bill will be plus trying to make the payment!

SR, I think you may have just solved the mystery of why Too Old buys these boats and then sells them before they ever hit the water! :D
|
He must be doing something right! You're right though... shoot he may not even enjoy them if he actually had to fill them up.:D

Ya I saw on the news there is a place in California that is up over 4.30 a gallon!!!!! Another reason NOT to live in cali!!! What a gaffing that is. For me it is still at about 1.99 for Diesel and 1.89 for plus. I sure am glad that I can fill up on the cheap stuff again this year :D:D

Alot of rafting this summer. Hopefully we will have some resolution as to what we're doing in Iraq so the prices can come back down.
If this continues maybe the tree huggers will recnsider drilling in Florida. |

You do the math
From July through early December 2002 wholesale unleaded gasoline traded between $.75 and $.85 per gallon. Today the April contract for unleaded gasoline is trading $1.06, down about a nickle today. This is an increase of some 21 to 31 cents. The taxes on most gasoline is constant, transportation charges are slightly variable. Additives for different states and cities are added to the wholesale price.
What do you think you should be paying per gallon? We are paying $1.519 here in Tulsa. Crude did drop nearly $2.00 today on possibilities of no or delayed war. |
