Looks great, congratulations!
Ahhh, the familiar look and feel of NJ...I thought it looked reminiscent. :D

Reminds me of Vernon.

Good luck with the new ride Ken! I'll have to get a look at it this summer!

Pure Energy 03-14-2003 07:50 AM

Baja Daze, I am close to Vernon, we just don't have those super steep hills!

No 4WD yet Jon, only got a dusting. Can't wait til it is ALL GONE!

Gary, I am SOOOOOOOO ready for Claudio's!!!!! Did you know it is for sale? The main restaurant, Clam Bar and Crabby Jerry's. $6 million, and it is all yours!!!!

sharp looking truck. Congrats!

Sydwayz 03-14-2003 09:07 AM

TIGHT!

Pure Energy 03-14-2003 09:20 AM

With 407 miles, the truck has been great. With the 4.10 rear it is very quick. Maybe a tad faster than my '99 7.3 with a chip. The fit and finish is great. Ride quality is a little stiff but I am sure will soften over time. I have the F4 package that upgraded the suspention a bit. I have not fully layed into the throttle yet, but from regular driving the motor sounds awsome, lots of power, and doesn't miss a beat.

I am aware of all the reported problems on The Deisel Stop.com but my build date is past those with the problems. I am hoping all will be fine and will post if otherwise.

I can't wait to tow the Sonic using the tow/haul mode of the trans. Changes shift points and automatically downshifts when you touch the break. Should save me some brakes!

Ken,
Yea, I heard it was for sale I offered 4 mill..... not!:) I wonder if they'll get any bites? That's the oldest resturant in the country owned by the same family. Again good luck with that truck, I'm gonna wait another year. I keep changing my mind what I want:)

I don't see many short beds, looks killer.

bojoe2 03-16-2003 06:07 PM

so i just hit 300 miles today i drove it ti the shore im in tr tonight runs great real tight, where do you find the motor build date or is it the same as the truck bulid date. thanks:)

Byron 03-16-2003 06:52 PM

I just took out a new dually 6.0 today. I smoked the tires so hard that the cars behind me could not go thru the smoke at the light, my buddies thought I was going to blow the tires. Then we took the truck back to the dealer and said thanks!! The new 6.0 seems to run almost as well with mine and a 130hp chip and 5" exhaust. I hope it tows as well, I'm going to order one this week.

Payton 03-16-2003 07:01 PM

Sharp looking truck! With that white grill, is it the Sport package as well?

Byron 03-16-2003 07:52 PM

I must ask the question, why the shortbed. Mine rides stiff enough as it is, plus the longer wheelbase tows better. Just wondering?

Pure Energy 03-17-2003 06:19 AM

Payton, yes it is the F4 sport package. Whiteout, upgraded suspension, skid plates, different seats and interior.

Byron, the 8' bed crewcab is looooong to say the least. This truck has an acceptable turning radius and parking abilities. The ride is stiff but not bad. I am hoping the dual wheels will make up for the wheel base when towing. We'll see.

Byron 03-17-2003 06:47 AM

I'll take that answer, thanks. Also once you tow with a dually you will never go back to single wheels, good luck!
