What prop should i use??

Last spring I purchased the 21 foot Hustler with flames on it, the one pictured on the Hustler website. It has a 6.2 L with a Whipple Supercharger on it. Im getting about 500 HP out of it. Im reaching speeds in the low 80's. However the prop just doesnt feel right..im runnin a 27" 3-blade mirage, i have tried a 29" 3-blade mirage and it just seems too much for the boat. Any suggestions on different styles or types of props..any suggestions at all would be great...thanks Justin

Take that prop that did work and have it lab finished,it will help big time.

21 Hustler,

I am guessing here but you may try a 29-31 Hydro, if you are pushing 500hp in a 21 foot boat you should be able to spin it. Should put you into the 90's, need to ask yourself if you want to go that fast in a 21 foot boat, I have been in a 22 Checkmate w/350mag running 65 in 2-3 chop and is really hairy.

Small boat BIG power! Have fun

i have a normal rev limit of around 5000 rpm, this boat is a monster, i think it could handle high 80's, as long as the trim is right it is stable...i run on a lake so it is glass during the week, but really choppy on the weekends...thanks for the suggestion
