I know what my next boat is going to be!!

I have been dreaming, I mean thinking of what my next boat should be. I finally found it, the 42 Fountain Scism, Cat. I love this boat, it has a swim platform, Head, bed, and drop out seats/Bolsters. Plus its a Cat so it should be very efficient speed wise? Has anyone heard anything bad about this boat????? Or has anyone had personal experience with it?

105_mph

I meet the owners of Awsome last year at Miami show, they I was looking at the 38 with my Dad. I can't remember their names but they were very nice and nice boat.

I am just really impressed with this 42 cat, all the reasons I haven't liked the Cats, 1 no bolsters, no bed, no swim platform, No head, this thing has it all.

It will be fair amount of time before I can get another boat, like at least a couple years, maybe by then one of these will be forsale used??:D

Well I will check this thread tomarrow, time to go chase girls and have a cocktail.:p

MTI builds an Outstanding boat. Everything built top quality, everything installed top shelf. There is a waiting list to have one custom built for you.
I may be wrong, but I don't think you will be buying an MTi Scism cat from Fountain.

Gordo,

Here is a link to some pics at Fountain it looks like they build the Cat there, in one photo it looks like the 42 mold????

Do a search on the topic, but I believe Fountain only rigs the ones that have factory Mercury power. All the other ones are rigged in St. Louis by Randy Scism at Victory racing.

just want to set the record straight on the mti 42. there was an agreement that fountain would build mti's 42 with up to 575s, with mti building anything big power. this agreement has been cancelled by fountain and all molds are back at the mti plant in green bay. all mti's the 38, 42, and the 44 are being constructed at the green bay facility at this time.

CRITTER3, HIT IT EXACTLY RIGHT.

BAJA WILL 03-26-2003 08:59 PM

Well, I guess the next boat won't be a Fountain???? The MTI 42 is still the best design I have seen, at least for what I like:p

Thanks for the input, I guess Reggie would rather build 38-65' Cruisers:(

You said that the the boats are being constructed in WI. Are they also being rigged there?

OBNOXUS21 03-27-2003 12:11 AM

What happene to Wentzville?

Those cats ARE like cruisers in the sense of ammenities, if you really need them ;)

VERY, VERY nice boats !!!!!
If I could I would :)

MTI cats are beautiful! Big $$$$'s!

Rare Breed was at a poker run we ran in last year and it is absolutely amazing. I beleive it has 1100's and was something around $900K.

A guy on our lake has one as well. I believe it has 575's, but I haven't been able to bum a ride yet. From what I've heard it runs a bit over 100 mph. Another beautiful boat, but not the finish, detail, speed and WOW-factor of Rare Breed. Also, not the $$$'s either!

When your dream comes true, I want a ride!!!

i'd rather have randy build the boat than reggie anyway. randy's work was very impressive at the miami show. i just got a full brochure from randy 2 days ago. he's my top choice for a cat. i love skater, but randy just seems to finish things out a bit smotther. just my opinion.
