there are few members who've bough engine from them. They have a pretty good reputation and thierprices are very competative. Hell the 502/502 is down right cheap. I've heard the cam is abit agressive and can cause reversion with wet exhuast though.

Mike,
Yeah, well, no cats for this boat. Painkillers might have had something to do with it!
Puder,
Thanks for the info. I have CMI with the long tailpipes. The exhaust dumps into the Pulse housing, but about 3 inches above water line. Should be OK.
I'm taking the plunge today. I'll keep everyone posted.
Anyone want to venture a guess about top speed with a pair of 500's? 35 Cafe Racer, Pulse drive.

my $0.02 - since your going through all the work to put in new motors and the Pulse will easily stand the power I'd recommend just getting the 540's now and be done with it. Otherwise you'll probably want more power about a week after the 502's are in.

Seems other than Puder, you haven't had much comment about the original question. I agree with Puder that there are quite a few members on the board that have used www.1800runsnew.com and they were very satisfied!

Hi Greg,
I thought about it. In my sea conditions, the boat gets run usually at around 40-50 mph. Any faster and myself and passengers would have to see a chiropractor after each day of boating. I'm guessing that I'll get around the upper 70's or maybe even 80 on a good day out of the 500's. Don't know if the extra 4K would get me much more and would be worth the $$$
