I think Daytona Beach is still reeling from the one Spring Break that MTV attended/hosted. That was one out of control week.
In fact Daytona doesn't even promote it any more. Come to think of it, Bike Week wasn't advertised either.

Evil,
I'm there dude! We need to show them how it was done!
Goodwrench,
Very Nice...
Iggy,
I agree. It's a shame isn't it. What happened to the self proclaimed Spring break capital of the world??
When I left, I remember all kinds of ramlbing in the News Journal about all these Trailer Park Geriatrics "reclaimimg our family community." Ya, right whatever...
It was Spring Break Haven before any of this other ****.

Daytona does not really "want" bike week at this point either... That is the impression I got when I was over there. The police where cracking down on stupid things that they in years past let go... Riding down main street with no eye protection(people walking where going faster), handle bars to high, Pipes to long(WTF is THAT one about??), Pipes to loud, etc.... It is like they think the millions generated for the city are not needed anymore... I was very disappointed this year at bike week... I have not even bothered to go over for spring break, I figured why bother you cant see any hot chicks in thongs anymore with the anti-nudity laws
