Need to decide on boat name.

I need to make a final decision on the name of my boat. So far the choices are Miss Chievous or Tenacious Lady. I'm still open for other suggestions too.

ScottB 03-28-2003 12:56 PM

What kind of Boat?

H20 Cowgirl 03-28-2003 12:58 PM

37 foot CarlCraft (basically a Gibson boat). It's a house boat w/twin motors, fly bridge, etc.

Airpacker 03-28-2003 01:00 PM

I have the best of both worlds....

I have the house boat with a/c, water, ice maker, two fridges, etc. Gordo has the FAST boat.

Can't think right now!!!

But I love the houseboat.

I'd like to find one and scoop it up, have the wife (interior designer by degree) do it up!!!!

Then I will have the houseboat and she will have the 25 Active. Sound familiar with a twist!!!?

Can we get them down to the Keys in November?

H20 Cowgirl 03-28-2003 01:20 PM

That would be a blast to take a houseboat down to Key West. Hmmmm....I don't think I could afford to have it hauled down there...:(

R Addiction 03-28-2003 02:17 PM

Take a few months off....head down about August, take your time, HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!

;)

H20 Cowgirl 03-28-2003 02:19 PM

KCHOTBOAT 03-28-2003 04:54 PM

How about posting a picture of Gordo driving it. :D
You could call it One Vision Racing HG

R Addiction 03-28-2003 06:13 PM

Oh sorry, your freshwater.....freshwater ranch then.

Big E 03-28-2003 09:10 PM

H20cowgirl - I have the perfect name. It fits perfectly with your Outlaw "B-Nauti". How about "B-Nautier"? Just a suggestion. I'm sure you will pick a good one. Eric;)

toolman 03-28-2003 10:38 PM

I thought I was unique with my boat name "TENACIOUS"! You'll have to pick something else.

Knew Carl Gibson (aka: Hoot, after the Astronaut).

He was involved in the original Gibson houseboats, still in business in Goodlettsville, TN. He then split from them and built CarlCrafts. Later, he had to fold that place up and restarted as something else (the name escapes me). His wife was a lawyer and owned all of their possessions and commercial real estate, leasing them back to whatever business Carl was running, so suing Carl was a fruitless exercise. He died a few years back, I believe, from prostate issues.

He was a colorful man and, while his business acumen and ethics were questionable, he was instrumental in forwarding the houseboat trend towards huge, usable interiors on sturdy planing fiberglass hulls.

You'll enjoy your boat.

(as far as the Keys, I'd be reluctant to take any manufacturer's houseboat into saltwater - The hardware and galvanic bonding systems usually aren't up to the task of facing sea salt, AND, you'll be reattaching wood trim and realigning all of the cabinet doors after the flexing exercise. I say keep the Nauti Girl on a nice lake or river system.)

H20 Cowgirl 03-29-2003 07:03 AM

Big E,
B-Nauti belongs to the Outlaw Cowgirl and Banker Ron. They are really good friends of ours. I only own the houseboat.

R Addiction,
Please don't give Gordo any ideas!!! :)

KCHOTBOAT,
Hmmm.....I'll have to see what I can do about getting a picture of Gordo driving it.;)

Rah2371,
I like that, but I was thinking I should name it something that if I ever sell it the new owner could live with the boat name. In case they are superstitious.

mcollinstn,
Thanks for the info!

Everyone is coming up with good suggestions for names. Keep them coming!

Julie I have seen hayseeds with bumper stickers that say "cowboy up" I have no idea what that means. (must have to listen to hick music or something) How about "COWGIRL UP ".

Kchotboat.........I can't believe you haven't photo shoped that pic with one vision racing.

"Nauti Girl", hadn't thought of that one...

H20 Cowgirl 03-29-2003 01:57 PM

"Nauti Girl"

That has a nice ring to it.....

Julie, I am really liking this "Ranch" idea. I mean everyone at the lake knows who the cowgirls are and your old boat was called the "Cowgirl Boat" so......I am thinking the cowgirl theme should be there some where.

"Freshwater Ranch" is VERY cool.
"Cowgirl Coral" maybe.

I am going to have to vote on other and not the two we started with.

H20 Cowgirl 03-29-2003 02:18 PM

I really kind of like "Nauti Girl" so now it's between "Nauti Girl" or "Miss Chievous".

Out of those two names which one do you like best?

Outlawcowgirl 03-29-2003 02:32 PM

NautiCowgirl?

R Addiction 03-29-2003 02:39 PM

Gordo, I'll keep an eye out for a couple of 500's for ya. Opps, this isn't a PM!!!

H20 Cowgirl 03-29-2003 02:40 PM

Outlawcowgirl,

I like "NautiCowgirl", but I don't think I want a name with cowgirl in it in case I decide to sell the boat some day. I'm trying to find a name that the next owner could live with.

Outlawcowgirl 03-29-2003 02:47 PM

I see....NautiGirl is good. Hey isn't there a OSO member that is called NautiGirl?

That "outloud" voice will get you in trouble every time.
Let's see, twin HP500's...

Think it will qualify for Factory 2?

Okay, I am not really sure why you are worried about being able to resale it because of the name. The name "Family Affiar" didn't effect your decision of this boat did it?
How about "Cowgirl Saloon"?

Jeeze, I sure am glad I like the name our boat came with.

Good Luck Cowgirl!!!:)
