Default Billet or Tubular Alum swim steps

Does anyone have either of these types of steps? If so how hot do they get in 100+ wheather? Are they slippery at all. The ones I am looking at are Boulder Enginerring, Extreme Marine and Dana Products. Thanks in advance.

I have the same one in black and it does'nt seem to get that hot, however, I plan to have it repowdercoated in red or silver, Fred, is yours painted or powdercoated, if painted then how durable is it, and can a regular paint shop do it?
