Tim, the dealer told me that they were on sale right now. It sounded like all over, but not positive.

Just bought Carlisle 215/75/14 for mine, I hate marathons, I've blown several, the Carlisle was 69 at discount tire

We sell that Tire for $60.00 as well!!!!!!!!! but I would have to add Shipping Charges to it,,,,, unless you need 24pcs,, then I would pay the Freight!!!!

Hey guys, I need some too. Price looks excellent. However, the link you provided is for radials. I've read a bunch of stuff in here about bias being better than radials for trailers. You guys all buying radials? Does anyone really have the bottom line on this question?

The only reason to buy a Bias, is you can't afford to buy a Radial .........

Well Mama, sounds like you're pretty confident about using radials on trailers!! The stuff I was reading though talked about side wall loading when doing tight maneuvers. My triple axle trailer really folds the tires over pretty good. What I had heard and read is that radials do not resist this side load very well. Do you have specific knowledge/experience that says the radials are OK for this side loading??

I am not a Goodyear fan, but have had the best luck with Marathons. We tried several other brands and had serious issues (multiple blow outs) with high speed driving on anything but Marathons (70 mph or higher).

I have also talked with several tire dealers, Firestone, Cooper and Michelin and all said that the Goodyear was the best trailer tire you could buy.

I am not an expert. This is my exerience and what I have been told.

I want to try to resurrect this thread for just a bit, I'm about to order six new tires. I guess I'll go with the radials but I would like to hear a few of your opinions to see if there is any consensus on this issue. Maybe its not an issue and either bias or radial is fine, I really don't know:confused: :confused:

Any idea on prices for the Coopers??

Coopers are available here (they have to order them) for about $75.00 each before tax. They only make one size/rating. 225/75/15, in D Load Rating, (8 Ply). (Craven Tire in Fairfax, VA)
I am going with Marathons this time, but I am going to keep an eye out for anyone using Cooper ST on their trailer.
