and when they are done its time for a nap!

dyno 04-04-2003 06:43 PM

nice furniture dont you think thats the cottage we rented on lake Michigan for the last 4 years its being torn down in the very near future....brings a tear to my eye, had a lot of good naps on that couch!

LapseofReason 04-04-2003 06:50 PM

Ok we throw the ball off the end of my dock and see who get's back first. With the ball.

dyno 04-04-2003 06:57 PM

ball we dont need no stinking ball get me a rabbit!

LapseofReason 04-04-2003 07:02 PM

That's fine we throw the rabbit off the dock, lab's like them too.

dyno 04-04-2003 07:07 PM

tell you what if the race starts with an 50' start on land your on! the rabbit wont make it 25....besides we cant eat the ball!

dyno 04-04-2003 07:10 PM

If we cant settle this race thing I'll bet ya my dog is a bigger sleeze than yours!

LapseofReason 04-04-2003 07:12 PM

Ok here's the deal, the dock is 185 feet, I figure I can throw the average rabbit 40 yards, your dog starts at the end of the dock next to the water, mine 100 feet back. I throw the rabbit the dog that brings back the biggest part first win's.

LapseofReason 04-04-2003 07:18 PM

What your dog only has a chair, what about the king size water bed.

LapseofReason 04-04-2003 07:20 PM

When you have left over pancake's or waffles, do you heat them up put butter on them and syrup for them.

dyno 04-04-2003 07:22 PM

you ever see a Greyhound with a rabbit? there wont be a piece left for your lab to bring back. Its kind of cruel but yet cool. I've watched guys hunt coyote's with them and when the dogs catch them you cant tell it was a coyote...

No waffels here they are kind of funny about what they eat....meat or dairy makes them happy!the female sleeps in her own queen size bed in the spare room and the male on the floor he's to big (90lbs) or he would be in the bed with us!

dyno 04-04-2003 07:27 PM

I dont know how this will turn out runnig flat out on the beach!

LapseofReason 04-04-2003 07:31 PM

That Greyhound aint never gonna taste the rabbit, your dog has about 13mph on the lab on land but the lab will dust it in the water.

Here's another cool thing the lab will do, I can throw a half brick in 5 feet deep river water you can't see it but he can and he will bring it back, he's good for 10 feet in a pool where he can see it.

The lab's are trained not to tear up what they fetch, but if I give it back to them after they give it to me, it's a cool chew toy for about 10 minutes.

LapseofReason 04-04-2003 07:33 PM

Are you racing them or are they retired?

dyno 04-04-2003 07:35 PM

I was at a party on the water last summer and there was a 1 year old doberman there that would do the same thing. Way cool I think he was having an identity crisis he thought he was a lab too!

LapseofReason 04-04-2003 07:39 PM

My old neighbor had a Russian wolf hound that was fast as hell, I dont know the MPH but the lab wouldn't even bother trying to beat it to the ball on land and his dog wouldn't go in the water. His dog use to chase deer for fun, she hung with them until they jumped something.

dyno 04-04-2003 07:40 PM

they are retired the male was a great racer, I have his records he raced over 600 times and averaged in the top 4 dogs. the female on the other hand was a trouble maker and was released for adoption before she ever took the track...always wants to fight over it not race for it. The male out weighs her by 25lbs but she pushes him around like a balloon in the wind.

LapseofReason 04-04-2003 07:42 PM

I out weigh my wife by over 100#'s and it's the same way.

LapseofReason 04-04-2003 07:45 PM

They are cool looking, just make sure you keep them out of the wood's in deer season.

dyno 04-04-2003 07:47 PM

the wolf hound is a sight hound too as is the Greyhound...same build if you shave them. The amazing thing is how fast they can turn at speed they don't even break stride....we have a pet door and I've seen my male watch a squirrel from inside the house and bolt through the door and get the thing before he can get to the rail on the deck.

LapseofReason 04-04-2003 07:56 PM

What was up with those slackers in the movie Snatch. Two of them lost that rabbit.

They ALL, WANT to be a lab!!! I love dogs all the same but my Golden is in a class all his own. This is great reading, I'm lmao and it only 7:45 am!!!:D

FunHome 04-05-2003 08:50 AM

What you guy's need to do is cross a Lab with a Greyhound and then enter it in that Superdog Competition!! Have you seen it? It's where they see who's Dog can jump the farthest!! (Off the end of a Dock) It's cool to watch, I think the last time I watched the winner jumped like 23ft or something!!
It was AWSOME!!

LapseofReason 04-05-2003 09:07 AM
