Good for them! they aren't above the law. I was told by a cop once that they have no right to break traffic laws themselves while on duty.

There was a cop around my way that was fired for speeding in a school zone :p They used that excuse to get rid of him seems they didn't want him on the force so they followed him around and wrote him up for various traffic violations.
