whether it worked or not in this application is immaterial to me. I wasn't trying to start a problem, just trying to find out as many people who have them, cats but preferably V's and their thoughts on planning and docking. I have been on a 38 Hustler with ASD-6, and was impressed, no bow rise, plained off easy, docking was about the same, just want more info on a larger V boat, with more power, and what happens after 85-90 mph. Thanks Jeff

I have been looking at the ASD8'S in this twin application. RIK has always been helpful. I also like Harry, he did a great job on Pats bottom (37AVH) but I know of 3 instances where his Pulse drives are not benifiting for the go-fast market. They might have their place in different applications. Thanks post whore, Masher still got you beat

Being that if Jay has already put them on a 36 in the same configuration[CG]& weight .That he knows from testing on where to install them?

Rik So your telling me you know the optimum height[placement]of where the ADS needs to be with out any testing and can get it right on the first try on a 36 Spectre?

I am not trying to start sh i t . You may be able to from your experience and knowledge know where they need to be mounted.

I just would not want to be the first one that someone that might not have any experience in where to mount them.

Thats if this was to be the first?

Rob

nope, i brought those home with the 30.
That's the story that was told to me from Jay. Byron needed new headers to fit the Arneson's.

Rob, they all fit the same place regardless of boat or hull type. I mount them at a certain point, in Mercury Language one might call it an "X" dimension, and that is it.

Its simple geometry. Based upon the transom angle, the height will need to be in this certain point of installed height give or take an allowable amount. Being off a small bit will not really make any difference.

They had 107 hours last year and I do not now how many they have this year. This is the second year and second Catalina Ski race with this setup.

Teague 800's (Who knows the actual power) 109 mph.

ZERO failures. First time for Tony in his boat that he has ever went a season or more without an outdrive failure.

Thanks Rik... What is the required maint on a ASD-8, and can TMP do any repairs or does it need to go back to you. Jeff

They are simple to work on, should be no maintenance other than oil changes.
