One of the Donzi F2 boats crashed. It was towed in upside down but I hear both team members are ok.
I also hear the Super Cat "In Motion" had a very violent crash & was upside down too. Fortunately again, I hear everyone is ok.

I don't think the Liquid Metal finished the race? I didn't see them out there after the caution from when In Motion flipped. Glad everyone was OK. Seemed like Liquid Metal and In Contempt ran the closest race all day. The US1 boat sure was strong all day long!

Liquid Metal was in front for 16 laps and APBA said to stop after In Mocean flipped. The pace boats didn't get the message and threw up the green flag meanwhile, the checkered flag was on display at the start / finish and Metal pulled to the inside for the win. :D It was about 5:30 so they deceided to call the race overwith. In Mocean got towed in, not before 8 p.m., took them 3 hours! :(

I heard on the radio station that was stating the Steve Anderson had a heart attack.. can anyone confirm this? And if so how is he doing?

kitten 04-14-2003 09:54 AM

do you mean Steve Armstrong with In-mOcean ?

Offshore Addiction 04-14-2003 10:29 AM

They were not saying what boat he was in, just his name and that he had a heart attack....
