TAXES SUCK!!!!

There's no reason for it to be so damn complicated.
The government should just take a flat rate percentage of our pay, no deductions, exemptions, credits, etc and never have to fill out annual forms again.
That's just my opinion which I'm sure none of you agree with. :D

BTW I filed electronically, online, and received my meger refund in 10 days. Half went into tires for the truck and the other half into a tile floor in our living/dinning room.

That's because there were no lawyers around when the bible was written.

Just think of all the people, like me, that would be out of a job if it wasn't for taxes. Years like this past year shows how important tax planning is to retainning wealth.

I think tax day should be the day before elections (or visa versa). I think people would vote differently if they have to pay their taxes right before going to the poles!

Every time I think about it I just get     er

One thing that I don't understand is making everyone pay by the same day. I can see back in the dark ages when an employer would have to figure incomes by hand, but now in the computer age, a touch of a button pulls up all the information immediately. They should change it to something like the fifteenth of the month following your birth month. That way it would spread it all out over the year. I think that way the government would have an easier time of it, and we wouldn't have to scramble to find a tax man that has time. My best freind prepares taxes, and I literally don't see him from late December until April 16th. I went to see him the other night, he looked like hell.

Cuda, you're right. However, does he work full-time the rest of the year? Many tax prepares work many hours during tax season, but work-part time the rest of the year.
