I would wait awhile on the 6.0. Ford has a problem with a oil pressure sensor shutting down the motor. They have either recalled it already or are working on doing it.

The only problem I have personally, right or wrong, with the new PSD is all that additional HP and torque out of a smaller package. There is no replacement for displacement. I hope they aren't trying to make a 150,000 mile PSD instead of a 300,000+ 7.3 PSD. I'll keep the old one thankyou. I just got 21 MPG average in my Excursion on a trip down and back to visit the mouse while averaging about 70-75 MPH.

Heres an update! I asked the dealer to put a Bug deflector and a rubber mat bed liner in...simple right? NO! they asked me yesterday to go out to the parts dept. and ask them to order it, I did they asked me to pay in advance???? My deal is already signed and all cash passed at 46000.00 and they ask me to pay for 190.00 in parts in advance. Never mind that the salesman couldn't just say no problem and follow through on his own. Anyway all this now done yesterday AM they asked me to come in this afternoon to pick it up...I went in at 7:00 salesman all smiles hows it going? Oh buy the way the truck isn't ready and I'm off tomorrow can you come back on Saturday. They couldn't even call me today to let me know they had a problem! Needless to say I had a few choice words, Whats my recourse and should I be pissed off? Thanks MFB

Troutly, Nice truck! I was thinking of putting 19.5 " wheels on it, they are on 450 and 550's. Alcoa makes a polished aluminum wheel that will look great. Can I add the 4" blocks and what should I do about the front end ? Thanks, Mark

You can't use a block for the front. Most shops will tell you to put an "add a leaf" in, don't do that either they ride to hard. Put a 2 inch soft ride spring in that will be your best ride. The 19.5 wheels are going to make it ride bad enough.

03 Limited Excursion, 6.0 and 5 speed 1000 Miles so far. It is awesome!! I had a 99 F-250 and an 02 F-350 both with the 7.3 motor.... this thing will smoke a 7.3 and it is quiet as well. 325 hp and 550 lbs. of torque!!

BTW: we are getting over 15 mpg and the motor is not broken in yet.
