Don Aronow Movie
 

Just read in May issue of Boating Magazine, Hollywood is making a movie staring Tom Cruise as Don Aronow with Micheal Mann directing.

Aronow was a big, rough dude, about 6'-3" if I remember correctly. Cruise is a little pipsqueek!! Naw, they gotta find somebody besides Cruise. Can't think of a good candidate off hand but definitely not Tom Cruise!! The Micheal Mann part sounds like a good choice though.

Lets here some suggestions for a good "Aronow" for the movie.

I bet they don't tell the whole enchilada. I spoke with a gentleman in Daytona that worked for Don for years. He told me Don always had to get the better end of every business deal and screwed everybodies wives. The guy that I used to worship turned out to be a person that I would not deal with today. Typical ego high performance boating moron - BH

I say who cares who the star is, I just want to see the women dressed in little to the imagination and the boats in action!

I think Tom Cruise could look down at the top of Mel's head. Ever see Mel in a movie where he wasn't wearing boots?:)

Cruise would do well, Look how they made Stallone look taller in his movies, it's all angles and so forth. And there are only a few people who know how tall DA really was, remember, it's a movie, not an EXACT replica of him. Let's enjoy the fact that offshore is getting something done professionally, and with Michael Mann, it should have a strong Miami Vice flavor/attitude.:D

I just can't buy tom cruise at him though. I doubt uit will get made. Every 3-6 montsh there is a new thread about how they ar emakign an anonow movie.
