Vehicle (Corvette) Performance Help

I have a 2003 Corvette new that I want to modify a bit. Has anyone put exhausts, intake, etc. on these? I had Tri-Flo on my last C-4 but don't know on this C-5. I see Procharger vs Vortec....help! Also, the reason I posted here is that I think people are more honest and knowlegable. Any info is appreciated!

Thanks

Go to www.corvetteforum.com, C-5 section. You'll find lots of info there. I live in C-2, say hi sometime.

Call Doug Rippie or go to Dougrippie.com

Good Stuff - helpful - decent prices

The motor is an LS-1.

Corvette Forum is a good idea-I'll check it out. Doug Rippie and Lingenfelter both offer Tri Flo, Borla, Corsa. I guess I could call and ask which they prefer...

Corsa or the TriFlo would be my pick for the LS1
Yes corvette forum was my pasion a few years ago...good info there.

Don't mess around with mail order stuff. You will be disappointed for the most part. If you want reliable go fast (real fast) call Lingenfelter Performance. Period.:D :D

Check the corvetteforum. You should find all you need there. My brother has a 1997 C-5 which I get to drive when he needs to borrow my truck. :D Mods include Quick Time Performance exhaust cutouts which basically open the exhaust wide open or close it so it sounds stock at the flip of a switch. He lowered it a couple of inches which makes the car look very tough but it does affect the ride and clearance is sometimes a problem. He just ordered Nitrous Express 150 shot wet system. I keep telling him he's going to blow the motor but he just says then he will have an excuse (wife) to build it up. Anyway enjoy they are really nice cars and with the supercharger and exhaust it will be one sweet ride.

I have alot of experience with the C5 and installing performance parts. I did a motor for a customer here at work. West Coast Corvettes has a kit that comes with ported heads, polished valves, cam, headers, computer, intake. It was a good conversion. The engine suffered a little on the bottom end, but the top end and RPM really picked up. I did another with only bolt ons. Intake, headers, X pipe, and a Yank 3500 stall convertor. This car was amazingly quick. The Yank torque conv. is just awsome. This was a 2001. It ran 11.93 in the 1/4 with a stock motor!! If you have an automatic the convertor is a must.

With the C5 it is just like boating; how fast do you want to go and $ to spend.

The C5 exaust from the factory is restrictive, and the Corsa is excellent.

But, if you want to go fast take it to Lingenfelter in Decatur, Ind.

He has packages that start about $ 7k and go up to ? The 383 stroker will give you 450+hp.

Anyone have any ideas of where to get exhaust and headers for an 88?

I have a B & B catback system, like new and a rear-end out of my 2002 Z06 brand new 342 gear ratio. If you have an automatic, this is the hot ticket for you. The rear-end has 3 miles on it. I put a 373 gear ratio in the Z06. also availabe is the complete air cleaner assembly. feel free to give me a call. Tom 262-827-8827
