1 step forward 2 steps back

As if my trying to get my boat done for summer isn't a big enough project anyways I walk out this morning for work and see my wiring harness on the trailer shreaded into little peices by one of my fabulous dogs. like theres nothing better to chew on in my entire yard.:hothead:

Sydwayz 04-21-2003 10:54 AM

Bummer dude, at least that is a relatively easy fix.

Just one more thing to worry about though, ya know

Shorgasm 04-21-2003 11:59 AM

If that's the height of your problems. The I have something for ya to chew on.

Three major things to do before the boat gets wet.

1.They are major expensive parts to fix it.
2.No truck to tow it when it's fixed.
3.Not enough money to just buy new parts and pay my bills.

On the good side for the numbered things.

1.The generosity of some board members."read Formula31"
I now have the parts that I need.

2.I have a deal worked out on a truck that is more than I had hoped for.Way more!Price you just can't beat and from a dealer!Same one that did the deal on my Formula!

3.Seems the bolts that didn't want to move bought me some time to make some more money to pay for the mechanic that is fixing it.And now the bill should be less!

Yes, and if you really want to see something fun to work on, Ill post some pictures of my transom tonight. What idiot boat builder would use balsa coring in a transom? A least I now know why my k-planes pulled through the transom last year.

Hey, Shorgasm, did you get the flywheeel housing? Is it gonna work for ya?

JUSTONCE 04-21-2003 12:45 PM

I've spent the past 6 months grinding out and filling all of the 367,000 gel coatcracks all over the entire boat, all rewiring, new interior, engine work and finally prepping for a paint job.

formula31 04-21-2003 12:59 PM

So, were both gonna make it in the water for New Years Eve at PIB, that is, if theres enough water, LOL. My gelcoat cracks are on my 5 year list. In other words, if I run out of stuff to do for 5 years I might consider it.

How much should I expect to pay for a paint job on my 357? It's in pretty good shape now. No major dings, scratches or other prep work necessary.
