I am home sick!
Went to the sleep clinic Sunday night. That sucked! A little after lunch yesterday I was getting a sinus headache and that post nasal drip and sore throat. Went to drill last night at the fire house and by the time I came home boy did I feel like CHIT! So today will consist of OSO, sleep, HBO, OSO, sleep etc etc. Hope you guys all have a better day.
|
I hear the power company will be turning off the electricity on your street to do some repairs in a little while. Unfortunately, this is going to disrupt the OSO, HBO, OSO, spanktervision, etc.. that you were planning on;)
I suggest the yellow pages for an "out call" professional masseuse to help you out. Feel better! |
Take Vitiamin C & Zinc That will fix you up! ;)
|
Head straight to the Dr. and get yourself a Z-pac. It will wipe it right out. I hope you feel better. I HATE being sick this time of year.
|
Well since your sittin' around doin' nothin' today....
Whats up with this race on Lake George between the tour boats? Is there any other types of racing going on? I have family in Saratoga Springs and we may come up for a visit!!;) Thanks, now back to spanktervision!!!:D :D |
Shane, I just found your thread about the event. Jumped the gun as usual!! ;)
|
Is this another benefit from working for Goldman Sachs?:D:D:D
|
Spanktervision was great!...until the power went out.:( And I paid good money for it too.:p Anyhow, thanks for teh well wishes guys and gals. Apparently they are installing it in my office for me so I can still go to work!;)

YOUR WHAT IS DRIPPING ???????
|
Why were you at a sleep clinic?
|
What is a sleep clinic?
|
I have sleep apnea. Whatthat means is during the night I stop breatheing and wake up and therefore do not get a restful nights sleep causing me to be tired throughout the day. They hook you up to like 20 or 30 wires and stuff to monitor all aspects of your sleep. I have two friends that did it and after the study was complete there were given these machines to sleep with and they feel 1000% better. Just takes some time.
|
The reason I asked is that I have sleep apnea and went through the same tests last summer. My oxygen saturation level was at 60% at night. I've been using a CPAP machine since last summer. Good luck with it ... you should see a dramatic improvement.

Wilerty,
Which machine do you have? Is that the halo like one? I am not familiar yet but would like to learn more. Was it hard getting used to? What was the process like? Thanks for the input. I am glad it worked well for you. I have heard nothing but good things. |
I use to have trouble sleeping butI bought a beer Meister! Fresh tap beer 24/7 :D

Shane and Wilerty,
Count me in too. Went for my initial test and I stopped breathing something like 180 times:eek: Feel like crap most of the time and my wife is getting PO'd because my problem is effecting her sleep too. Anyway, I'm going back for the second test, with the machine hooked up, to see the effect. Wilerty, how long before you started to see some results? Peconic, the machines are inexpensive. Also, sleep apnea is serious and, if untreated, can cause major problems which would be more expensive to treat than a couple of hundred doller machine. |

Shane: I'll check what the brand is when I get home tonight. It is not like a halo. It took a little getting used to but after that it isn't bad. You'll need a humidifier attachment for the dry winter season.
Basically you'll be getting more oxygen to your whole body and you'll get some needed deep sleep. That will help your allertness, memory, blood pressure, circulation, etc, etc. Sleep apnea is very bad and affects all parts of your body. The "good" news for me is that I had a very minor heart attack 9 weeks ago and had 3 stints put in my heart fixing a 95% blockage. I feel about 15 years younger , have lost 28lbs so far, and will probably not need the machine after I lose about another 15 to 20 lbs. |
Shane: My CPAP machine is a REMstar plus. I've had no problems with it.

hey guys,
in searching around the site i found this thread and thought i might be able to help out. i am a licensed medical device distributor if anyone needs to be hooked up with a machine. private pay on these machines varies by company, but i will beat any deal out there. btw, i only deal with products that have the heated humidifier built in. this will keep your air ways from drying out, which is necessary to keep away nose bleeds. any of you guys currently using a sleep product? if so, which one (brand, model) and what kind of mask are yall using? CPAP, BiPAP, etc... i like current knowledge on the products through customers first hand results. any response greatly appreciated! again, if i can help, i'd be glad to. |

I have a goodknight with a humidifier. The results are INSTANT, and I don't leave home without it. I just completed my first half- marathon as a side effect of getting enough rest. before I started using it I would fall asleep sitting still for 2-3 minutes, and the snoring was off the chain.
Much more peaceful here at my house because of Cpap. Takes some getting used to though... Good Luck! |
awesome!
|
Any links to these machines, thanks
